OEM ZL1 10-Spokes Powder Coated Silver...

Here is my new set of summer wheels/tires.
OEM ZL1 10-spokes powder coated silver, shod with Michelin PSS 295/315.

I think they look excellent.

Shout outs to GM Parts House for the wheels,
Bonehead Performance for the powder coating,
Jannetty and their excellent new tire machine for the mounting,
and Tire Rack for the rubber, delivered almost before I ordered it.

Surprisingly, the right rear rubs a bit on the mudguard under certain conditions.
The winter Conti DWS 315 rears never rubbed.

Agree.
I don't know why it only rubs on the right side.
Maybe I can sand down the inside of that mud guard a bit.
Otherwise, the system will eventually reach equilibrium, one way or another.

I've been toying with this very idea. Silver 10-spokes like on the pace car. Any chance you could post up a closeup of one of the wheels?

I will have to take a shot, as I don't have a close up.

Let's see what light there is this evening.

If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay to get them powdercoated? I want the ZL1 10 spoke wheels (either original or replica) but i hate they are black. Factory reproductions offers polished, but i want a painted/powder coated look.

I took some pix, I just need to get them uploaded.

The pace car wheels are definitely chrome.
You can get kinda close with powder coat, but you will never think that it is chrome.
It looks sort of mirror, but much duller.

Also...if you apply clear coat if (for protection) after the chrom-ish coat, it looks just like silver powder coat.
I know all this, because that was my original plan.
But after discussing extensively with the vendor, I instead went with the standard silver wheel color.
Note that this color sparkles in the sun a bit more than a factory wheel silver color.
They have silver that sparkles a LOT more, or even has silver flake, if that suits you.

My wheels are double coated: silver then clear, so it costs 56% more than a single coat.
From memory, I think that it was ($90 + $50) x 4 = $560.
