I just completed the skip shift install on my car, and I'm glad I finally did it. Whoever thought this crap 1-4 shift up ought to be shot. For anyone considering doing this, it's not exactly easy, but it's worth it. The install is the simple un-plug and plug-in deal you'd expect. But the CAGS solenoid is pretty high up the trans, so getting to it takes pretty small hands. It took me about half and hour to get the thing in just because I had to do yoga move number 12 just to get to the damn thing! One thing on the instructions though, it said the skip shift light on the dash will still light up. Mine doesn't. I won't gripe about that. Anyone else have the same setup with the light coming on or staying off? A+ product!

Well first of all whoever though it up is saving you money known as gas guzzler tax. Second I have it and my light/message still comes on but you can go right into second no problems.

Just installed the skip shift eliminator. Love it!!! The light still comes on letting me know when it wants me to skip, but now I dont have to. Did I say I love it?

I installed the one from BMC last night and the DIC still indicates to shift to 4th, but NO WAY Jose!

Ditched the BMC skip-shift. Engine light cleared itself today. I ordered the SLP one. Damn pricey! :(

On my 4th gen I just used a resistor and a piece of electrical tape. Best $.99 I ever spent.
