I hope the Corvette line gets expanded to include options suited to all high-end performance buyers. The Corvette represents a special kind of exotic, and adding an electric model would give it the same credibility as other recent high-end electric cars.

A hybrid v8 Vette would be amazing, best of both worlds.

I wouldn't exactly call the Corvette an exotic...

It may be cheap by comparison, but look at the competition.

I personally am not a fan of all this electric stuff. Maybe okay for a DD, or for CAFE standards, but unless it is an exotic hybrid set up (future repair costs can be staggering and most people and mechanics can't touch them) it looses its soul...

By definition, if it is made where you live it is not exotic. Whether it is a "supercar" or not is debatable but that is whole other can of worms.

As long as they do NOT "replace" the v8 and still offer it... I am ALL for this. What I would love to see in the future is having a supercharged v8 with electric support for INSTANT torque whether it is a turbo or battery or whatever it just might be that will also only work from 0 to 2k rpm then stop in order to let V8 take over.
