Nothing is set in stone yet. That is the reason for this post... I want to see what you all think, and if there should be any major changes.

I would like to see a modified version of #2.

Remove the plastic end pieces and stop the insert right at the turn signals.

Anyone want to do a photoshop?

I thought about that also...
My concern with removing the end pieces is that you then have to find a way to dress up the side of the marker lights...and they are not pretty.

You don't have to at all. The headlight/marker light housing is all one solid piece with a lip between the headlight and marker light to break them up. I think it could look pretty slick, and it would make cleaning the housings a whole lot easier too

kinda like them all. but if i had to pick i like the mesh with bow tie. i think you should make all of them and let it kind of be a bit of a custom grill. i think all the choices are nice.i think i would want the mesh painted black for mine though.

I will look into it. I will be tearing into this project in a week or so....
I am sure I will be trying a lot of things!!

As for making all of them...
I will be offering a few versions. It will depend on what people vote for, and what I can interchange in the build process, but there will be options available.
Mesh will have any finish you want...wether matte black to hide it, or chrome to show off.

I did a grille without the piece over the turn signal lights on my z28 concept... I think it looks killer like that.... And ZZ, I'm pretty sure that the lens over the turn signals is once piece and wouldn't be much more to modify if you are already doing so much to the grille... just keep the square box of plastic around the edges of the turn signal lens

I think that in the final design I might incorporate the ability to install the factory bowtie, the new style SS, or the old school SS....

That way you can customize the grille anyway you want...If there is enough overall interest I will do it that way.

What do you think about that idea? It will be more flexible that way, but it will limit the modifications I can make to the center bar.

I like the one that came with the car better. I just cannot get into the changes. The first two look like a retainer, and the other two look off to me. Just cant get into them. I need more choices.

This would be the way to go I think. That way all the after market stuff out there for the OE grill should work. (I wouldn't mind a few more horizontal bars either )
