Why is my front end so lifted?
Hey everyone,
Ever since I got my zl1 I've been hating how much my front end is lifted. It looks stupid. I saw 4 zl1 on the road and their front end is not as high as mine, I asked 3 of them if they installed springs and they all said it is stock. One of the guys asked if I bought it brand new and then he mentioned something about spacers on the springs that makes them that high? I couldn't get more info because the light went green and we couldn't talk. Can anyone tell me why my zl1 looks like this? Brand new 2013 off the lot. Thank you, |

Looks like your dealer forgot to remove the spacers on the front springs when they did the PDI. They are there so front doesn't scrape when being loaded and unloaded in the shipping process. Take it back and have them remove the spacers.

The zl1 ships with a yellow spacer in each front spring. If they are not in your glove compartment they are likely still on our car. Go back to the dealer to get them removed and then tell us which knucklehead dealer you got your car from!

Take a look at your springs, and see if the spacers are still in there. Mine were removed, and left in the glove box before I bought the car. They were yellow (not sure if they are all the same color).

Look between the fender and tire if there is a yellow spacer in the springs you need to take it back to the dealer and have them removed. Also make sure that they did the right prep work on your zl1. Some dealers just don't get that the zl1 is not like the other Camaros. Make sure you get the spacers back they go in the glove box. Just in case you need them for towing.

Oh shit.... Is this a serious issue to drive around like that? They have been on for 980 miles now... I am sure that's the case then..... Off to the dealer it goes!! Thank you for all the quick responses!!
Ps: don't worry this dealership is really far from you guys..... In Dubai :p |

No not at all, there should be some yellow spacers in the springs that should have been removed. Hopefully they have seen enough of them in Dubai so they know what you are talking about.
