Hissing Behind Passenger Side of Dash

Hi all. The didn't really yield any results so I'll just ask.

The other day I started noticing a hissing coming from behind the passenger side of the dash. I'm not exactly sure when it started, but I THINK it was after having the RPM's around 6k during a "spirited, loss of traction evacuation from a stop sign area". (I know I did not redline.) It doesn't sound like it's something leaking into the cabin, but more like the sounds of a gas passing through an orifice in a metal pipe or something. It only happens once I get above 2500 rpm. It is not related to the gear I'm in, nor is it related to the state of the AC system (it happens during all on/off combinations of AC and vent). It is loudest during acceleration during the first few minutes after turning on the car. After that it is still happening but maybe to a slightly lesser extent. I don't know if maybe it's something to do with the AC system behind the dash? What are your guys thoughts? Just thought I'd see if I could learn anything before taking it to the dealer.

Open this hood and make sure its not coming from the engine area.
There is a PCV orifice on the pass rear valve cover that sometimes hisses.

I checked the engine bay while the car was at idle and didn't notice anything, but the problem doesn't occur at idle. I'll have to get my wife to help me tonight and see what I can find. (I checked all the lines for the catch can. They're fine.)

I have a similar sound that my car produces also during acceleration. My guess is it has something to do with the coolant system, but I'm no mechanic. If you find out anything, please let me know.

I've determined that it only happens under load. If I just rev the engine it doesn't happen, or at least not audibly. Once I get a chance to take it to the dealer I'll let you know what's up.

I finally got the chance to make an appointment at Grabiak's. I drop it off Monday evening. We'll see what they find.

Happened with mine too. Have the dealer check the AC condenser vent tube. some may get stuck at the end and hiss. easy fix.
