IPF tune question

I have a 2012 V6 with the automatic and plan to get a tune by IPF. The car will have the MRTv2 axle-back exhaust, Vmax ported throttle body, and CAI system. Does the tune effect both the regular drive mode and sport or both? Does the tune only affect the sport mode? Just curious how this works.

HI,

there are 2 types of tune. ECU (Engine) and TCU (Transmission).

If you go ECU, then this tune is about the engine, and nothing will change from Drive mode or Sport mode.

now what you are talking about is the TCU part, and u have to order it it apart. this tune will affect your Transmisstion. in Drive mode ull get a smooth shifting, in Sport mode ull get a stiffer shifting!

How will this work on a 2ls with D and M modes instead of d and S?

Definitely something to ask IPF about when you order the tune.
