Just got back from the dyno - basic mods
LS3, SOLO hiflow cats, VMax throttle body, and a RAH cai (Roto-Fab box, ADM scoop, and last but certainly not least Halltech Yellow Jacket intake duct and filter) and stock tune. This dyno is serving as a baseline for additional mods. SAE corrected this time.

Not the same dyno. And thanks. I was surprised but compared to the stock run at the other place, these seem realistic. Intake with scoop adding 15 HP. Tuner said there was another 10 to 15 left. and better hiway mpg. Man oh man it's tempting. I should have never went down this road.

How come these are good numbers and these http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129924 are bad ones? If you can't believe one dyno, how can you believe any just because you don't think they sound right to you? Sorry OP I'm not questioning your numbers I'm just curious.

That L99 your referring to in that thread made 393 lb ft of torque with intake, x pipe & muffler delete, tune. That's about 60-70 lb ft more than most L99's make stock. And its about 20+ lb ft more than most L99s make with CAI, full exhaust (long tubes and high flow cats), and a tune. So based on what we consider "normal or average" his numbers definately too high. This tread, LS3 with (CAI, intake scoop, high flow cats, ported TB) made 401 lb ft. That's about 30 lb ft. more than most LS3's make stock and totally reasonable (high numbers - but reasonable) with those mods (especially with the high flow cats). |

Then again after the springs, sways, and trailing arms... Then again after the headers, exhaust, and tune... Then I said it again after the supercharger. Now, I'm thinking I'll leave well enough alone after the cam, torque converter, differential and subframe bushings go in next week... Well there might be some drag radials and paint work, but that's all theoretical at this point... maybe. Hehe. It is addictive. |

Nice numbers
How can anyone ask you about different mods? I'm waiting for the next intake setup...
