Questions about simple appearance mods!

Just purchased my 2013 IOM ZL1 and am definitely going to be making some suddle changes to the appearance. Have a few questions!

First one: want to change the chrome taillight bezels to black. Best way to do this?

2: would like to remove the rear bowtie completely, what's involved?

3: matte black exhaust tips... Pros/cons? Will it fade?

4: change the good bow tie on the front to black or cf.... I know I can buy em online but anybody have any suggestions for best quality/pricing?

5: change the chrome camaro lettering the black, best place to find the lettering?!?

Thanks C5, go on a number of forums and usually people are quite cynical and the typical keyboard warrior type. You all have been pretty awesome so far. Appreciate the input and advice!!

Get some plasti-dip for color change and fishing line for rear bowtie.. And as for the rear bezels sand them down and paint them when a can spray .

Go to the do it yourself section on the main page and it walks you through all of the changes you would like to do.

Cool sounds good! Thanks! Fishing line for the rear bowtie? Is it as simple as it sounds?

Tried the fishing line way, big pain in the butt. The glue/adhesive remains and then you spend 20 minutes cleaning. Best way I found and it takes only minutes with no clean up afterwards. Hair dryer on med heat, use a plastic tool (or credit card) and gently pry an edge of the bowtie or letters, let the heat hit where you are starting to lift. You will see the adhesive stick to the back of the bowtie, nothing will be left on the car. If it starts to stick to the car, slow down on the lifting, should take five minutes tops, or about two minutes per letter if you debadge the Camaro letters on the sides.

The bezels, Plasti-Dip all the way. You're getting the best of both worlds. If you ever want to go back to stock, it peels off. Very very durable and will last several years easily. I bought black replacement ones for mine, but could've saved $$ if I'd known about Plasti dip at the time.

I'm going to blacken my ZL1 Badges today using Plasti-dip. Dipyourcar has great how to videos on Plasti-dip.

The rear bowtie is glued only, no post. Front bowtie is a pain to remove, trying to fit your fingers in between the grille is a pain. Lots of vinyl layovers or Plasti dip.
