It would mostly depend on if you're getting a 1SS or a 2SS. If you're going with a 2SS, go with the 2011 to get the HUD.

Edit: And if you plan on keeping OnStar, and see their phone app as a must have, then you'll want to get a 2011.

Kinda depends on price and like lonestar said. There wasnt really any differences that would sway you one way or the other.

which SS are you looking at getting, 1ss or 2ss?

2011 2ss will have a few more goodies over the 2010 mainly the HUD.
for 1ss, either 2011 or 2010.

The 2012's should also be released this summer, which has upgraded suspension on the SS (not sure if standard or an add-on option).

The only real difference in the 2011 1SS is the Onstar is Gen 9 as opposed to gen 8 in the 2010's and newer build 2011's have pre drilled and threaded strut tower braces, different ABS module location and more / better sealant in front strut towers in the wheel wells.

Let's put it this way....my 2011 1SS was cheaper than most of the 2010 2SS's I've been seeing on the lots....and even USED 2011 1SS's are going for more than I bought mine new...

I'm looking at a used 2011 black 2ss for 33k Has 5k miles on it and a 2010 white with iom stripes 2ss for 33k with 2k miles. To e seems like a win win almost.

Depends on what you want also. My 1SS/RS/A6 with upgraded audio, mats, cargo mat & tint was 34k brand new 3 mos ago.

you can spend the money on a 2011 and suffer the depretiation just for a hud or find a good deal on a 2010

Brand new 1SS LS3 with $1500.00 in free upgrades included for 27k, the prices are probably even better now as this was 2 months ago. Hell when I bought it the prices were higher for used 1SS on ebay.

No matter what you do to a 1SS, it will still be a 1SS for trade in. That's not saying a 1SS isn't a good deal, just know that a 1SS with addon's doesn't equal a 2SS in resale value. If you want the extras, get the 2SS and get the 2011. Yes HUD is that nice. I have friends that are trading for that reason only. I'd go for the used 11 2SS if I were you. I'm partial to black though.
