FINALLY!!!!!!! SO LONG AREA 51!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got the call today around 1:00 pm that mine, VIN #832, arrived at the dealership! I was freaking out! I can't pick it up until tomorrow because the stripes have to have 24hrs to set and the windows aren't tinted yet. I have attached some pictures though, but will have more tomorrow! It does have the brake weights and unfortunately 21 miles (thanks GM for cruising around in it all that time). Didn't see any other problems though. The greatest thing is that tomorrow is our 5th anniversary! IT WAS WELL WORTH THE 8 MONTHS IT TOOK TO GET HERE! It will still take time for me to forgive GM though after 79 days in QC! Hang in there everybody else in Area 51. They have shipped and are coming! THANKS LARRY AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO HELPED GET INFO AND QC MOVING!!!!!!!!
If anyone is looking for a salesman in the East Tx area, call Jeff Veech at Peltier Chevrolet in Tyler. He was a great salesman and did what he said he would do. The QC issue was not his fault and he did everything he could to get answers. He is the only one that is ordering the camaros and knows everything about them. But those are white stripes. Arn't those factory installed. I would think those were installed two months ago right after the car was built. So not only did they hold your car for this long, they threw in the stripes for the dealer to install that they should have? Strange.

You know why your car has 21 miles on the odometer, right?
........I have a VERY good feeling that your car was used for an audit. My car was used for an audit. A particular person took the Camaro on a SET course out on the highway....brake test, acceleration test, etc. The course and all driving from bay to bay, etc adds up to right at 21 miles. Again, I was at that same 21 miles. They just don't drive these bad boys around adding miles up on a SOLD Camaro! They take a select number and actually hold them for specific tests...DVT test (toe in, roll test, brake stamp), Care (exterior fit and finish), electric (interior electrical), and audit (road test, highway and city). The last part is where the miles are put on. If yours was held, you are one LUCKY person. Not only is it gone over by the folks on the line, but it's checked again by the people who KNOW their stuff. I'd bet a grand it was audited. Hope it was.... |

Congrats!! Here is what I would do, change oil around 800 miles and at 1500 miles smoke them a couple times for the fun of it.
