Going to St. Louis tomorrow to see the Wings get back to their old winning ways. Been kinda rough lately.

Rough isn't the word for it!
Was at the game the other night, terrible. They need to start working as a TEAM!
Have fun and hope the real Wings show up to play.

Sounds like the A team for the Wings showed up! Did you enjoy the game?
I missed it on TV as I was working.

It's hard to say on such a demanding schedule with the shortened season! But it will weed out a few teams! Like Washington! That alone makes me happy!

The Blackhawks and the Sharks are both making some noise out in the West...Anaheim has very quietly been deadly, though. Definitely a team to watch out for.

In the East, the Bruins are looking great so far. I also think the Devils are going to surprise a LOT of people this season...a lot of people wrote them off after Parise left, saying they'd finish below .500 and miss the playoffs and that Brodeur is too old...as a life-long Devils fan, I enjoy proving those people wrong year after year

I think we have seen in the first 10 days or so that some were coming out of the gate HOT, others warm and some down right cold.
The hot ones are starting to stumble(some of them) and the cold ones are starting to get hot.
It is going to be a roller coaster short season!

I like the play I'm seeing in the rookies so far, especially Saad from the Hawks and a few on the Wings are strong players. Detroit might stumble a bit but the rest of their conference can only hope they don't wake up.

So many exciting kids in the league are making these games worth the wait.

Detroit could be the L.A. of this year! Just make the playoffs and get hot at the end of the season.

Yeah they can't lose Lidstrom and not take a step backwards even with all the great players they still have but Detroit is the blue print pro teams follow in how to develop your players and keep your team elite for many years. Even pro teams in other sports study how Detroit operates from the main office to the ice to the minors. They are the modern playbook for efficiency.

The Hawks have modeled themselves after Detroit. New Jersey, New York (both teams), Boston to name a few, they all follow the Wings structure.

I could take that! But that game in St. Louis was a freaking blast. It's great to go into a big rival building and rip them apart like we did. Blues fans had some choice words and actions for us on our way out haha. Great weekend for the Wings. Kinda ground out these last 2 wins.

Still need to do that, go to Chicago or one of the close rivals. Seems it would be a blast.
They had a good weekend and starting to look like themselves.
