Any Solo V6 M6 owners add XLT resonators?

Hey all, I've got the Solo system for my 2LT M6. While I LOVE the sound the car makes when it's hammered and I'm a spectator (not driving or sitting in the car), I feel it's a little too noisy inside the cabin.

After communicating with Steve from Solo, I understand there's a couple of you out there who added the XLT resonators to the XL system to tone it down a tad.

Looking for feedback to see if you're pleased with the reduced cabin sound now, as well as the overall exhaust note with the resonators added.

Here's a pic of the automatic XLT system and the resonators I'm talking about.

Thanks for the feedback!

I absolutely LOVE my system, however, everyone has different opinions.
Im not sure about the added resonaters but i know a few people put sound deadening in their vehicles, that can be an option for you as well. Sorry i couldnt be more help
PS your RJT looks SEXY!

That's exactly what I'm doin next week! (in Toronto) I called solo in Toronto and said that "after living with the exhaust for a month and although it's damn good for a v6, the sound is just a little over the top" (for me!) Many of my friends say it's a little ricy, I say it sounds more F1 - I have a M6, The v6-auto kit comes with the resonators standard. So the solo people said they'll put them in if I want. If I can record some before and afters - I will. Probably wed (12th) or something like that..

Thanks for the input and kind words, TJ91. I knew I wasn't alone, Oshawan! I don't think it's ricey at all, more exotic, Ferrari-ish I agree.

Let me know how you like it with resonators. Would be awesome if you could post vids before and after and in cabin! Thanks

how much are the resonators? This might be the solution I am looking for. Do you just cut out the existing and weld them in to place?

Contact Steve at Solo for a price. Yes, cut out the straight pipe by the tips and have the resonators welded in their place.

Before and after resonators

Ok, had the XLT resonators installed today. Here's the video. I didn't set it up right, LOL, I revved it higher and more times in the "before" half of the video, so it's not apples to apples!

While it may seem meaner without the resonators from outside the car, the drone was getting to me in the cabin. Steve at Solo recommended the automatic XLT resonators, so I gambled. I'm happy! Took the edge off and no more drone, still way better than stock, and no more "fat cans". Check it:

Just put my solo on my M6 and am very happy without the resonators ! I really haven't noticed any drone at highway revs. Great setup !

Did anyone else stare at the ant crawling around in the before video. Oh and sounds nice. Definitely can hear it a bit more calmer in the after.

Pulled up along side a 2006 Stang V8, of course he he gave a little punch, which I reciprocated, he then leaned over and said I didn't realise that was a V8 ? I responded well you never know what's under the hood ! I still think the solo is the best sounding out there. But if you are looking for just a slight increase in volume go to the MRT V2. I am not adding the resonator, permagrin +2 now !
