Axle-back Question
I was wondering what was the best axle-back system for the L99 engine. I have been looking at the Flowmasters Outlaw series, but I am worried about the drone. Does anyone have any suggestions?

"Best" will depend on what sound you prefer. On the L99 you will probably want to at least look at a Range AFM Delete Module to avoid AFM drone with a more aggressive exhaust.

I would prefer a moderate to aggressive sound.

Damn ... I only know about weak wimpy sounding axle backs ... Deep and throaty ??? Don't know where you could find info like that. Hmmm wonder if searching would yield any results ??? I think I've read something about drone on here before.
All in good fun .. Axle backs are personal preference and there is 10 tons of sound bites on this very forum discussing them at nauseum along with drone. J pipes

The whole "what sounds better" question is too subjective. It depends on your ear. However, based on what you wrote, you can't go wrong with the Solo axle back with J-pipes. The J-pipes take care of the drone and it produces a pretty good deep tone.

Or Outlaws and add Jpipes and sounds great, not sure about the sounds with the Auto and AFM though as I have a M6

Go with the Stainless Works cat-back. Got lots of compliments on the sound. Like them even better since installing Long tube headers.
