Okay, just got back from my dealer. He showed me an e-mail dated TODAY that orders all currently built cars to be shipped to dealers, NOW. As in yesterday.

He said that for some reason, a lot of shipments were going to be held until May, but the first order from the new CEO was to ship all built cars NOW.

He also said that the reason V6s were on constraint was because of the engine (sharing it with CTS or something or other) but they're being built, just not as quickly as SSs are right now. But he said clearing out that huge lot full of SSs should help expedite some LT building.

That is all. And yes, my dealer is an idiot.

Fbodfather stated flat out that was untrue last week. That was good enough for me.

If I ordered after production started am I still considered a pre-order? If not does that mean the car won't get here until after October?

Here are my hopes:

- Full ABL is back!
- Supplier discount is honored!
- Hurst is back!

Here is what I think it will be:

- CGM is off contraint starting April 1st

Hey, I'm just going off what he said. He said there was supposed to be some big "Launch Event" in May but that's history. If a car is built, it's shipped. So all those pics of hundreds of SSs in the Oshawa lot? Finito. They'll be shipped as built.

No, you are not considered a pre-order. Depending FULLY on how many cars your dealer is getting (which he DOES know) and where you are in HIS line will tell you when you can expect yours.

That's really interesting. No May 6th launch (nationwide unveiling) anymore? I actually thought that was a great idea....

I'm sure there will be a launch, just cars will not be held back to be sold on that day. They're shipping cars out NOW to pre-orderers. No car will be held for a specific date.

If you have a hint of good news please tell us! I'm still suck at 1100 and my eyes are starting to check out other cars! (No, I haven't cheated on my camaro yet but the urge to check out the competition is getting to me!)
