Unhappy BBK 102mm Throttle body Engine Power Reduced!!!

Today I installed a BBK 102mm throttle body on my 2010 ss A6 and i went to start it up and engine power reduced came across the dash and all the power was gone. Do i need to tune it to get more fuel or is something wrong witht he TB or did i do something wrong on the install?

yes you need a tune if you went from a 90mm throttle body to a 102mm. you just drastically changed the charistics of how the air enters the engine and the amount.

The throttle response is totally worth the tune. I went 102 after much consideration along with a pile of other goodies. The throttle response is amazing now. So much snap.

Dyno tune it...just throwing on parts, especially fuel/air delivery parts will confuse your ECM program...will pull the timing out of each cylinder, and she will run way lean...have to tell the fuel injectors to squirt in more fuel to mix with all that air you just let in.
Parts alone don't make horsepower in these cars. A delicate balance of timing, fuel delivery, exhaust scavenging, engine temperature, and of course fuel quality, all need to work together to make big power.

Stock manifold? I didnt think the 102mm fit without mass material removal from the intake or a fast 102.

it says on the BBK website that a 1/4" adapter plate is included with the 102mm TB.

You definitely need to tune for a TB that big. There are a couple of ETC tables that need to be adjusted along with a few MAP/MAF diagnostic parameters.

Ya tune for sure. No question. And yes, ported the blower snout or else your not getting the most out of the TB.

Give us a call. We can tune it for you. Althought i have never used a BBK 102TB i wouldnt think it would put it into reduced engine power.

Put the stock TB back on and drive it up and we can switch it here and see if its the TB or the tune.
