Just ordered CAI and MRT V1.0

[2010SIM2LT/RS]

Just ordered the CAI intake and MRT V1.0 from Apex Motorsports. I'll be installing them on my 2010 SIM 2LT/RS. Had an extremely hard time choosing between V1.0 and V2.0 for axle back, but chose 1.0 for the louder idle. I'm hoping to have them and install them Thursday night. If anyone is running this combo, please chime in on how you like it, and how install went. Thanks!

Have both and love them! I thought the intake was my favorite until I got the MRT V1 Ohh emm gee, the permagrin was totally back you'll love both setups, top notch. I just installed the adm race scoop might be something to get later down the road

MRT 1.0 is also the lightest of the group as going from stock exhaust to MRT 1.0 is huge for shedding weight. Now that I have my res xpipe installed,I can recommend this as the perfect addon to what youve ordered. The Res Xpipe will cut out the raspy highs and all you will hear is a perfectly refined exhaust with the deep lows. When you get your CAI and MRT1 installed, give it a test. The loud high pitch frequencies are what is eliminated if you decide you dont like the noise.

Anyhow, great choice on your mods choosen. Dont forget to get the windshield washer bottle relocation kit and adm scoop down the road as well.

thinking about doing this myself. did the exhaust get quieter, or just the rasp?

Gets way quieter because the rasp is gone lol. I'm serious here, it becomes Smooth and the car feels tamed in a good way. You still get the loud low tone and drone from the mrt1. But all high noise is 100% gone! It takes awhile to get used to and you will be a bit dissapointed if you liked the high note volume.

Think of it as a low pass filter on a sub woofer. Your going from 10k down to 240hz it seems :-)

The CAI may have already shipped, and if it did not already it will be today. Right now we are having some "technical" issues with our computers that has kept us from sending any tracking info for shipments from Friday on. You should have tracking info very soon.

Shipping can take longer than expected sometimes no need to to be disappointed, took more than two weeks to get my ice-olater.... All you need is a jack and stands and a sawza

Got it on in a little over an hour. I love it! CAI will be here tomorrow, cant wait for the full effect
