Make or break
was wondering what everyone thinks the max point for hp mods on the ss would be before you would need to start updating the body, suspension, ect...

The engine itself will need to be built up before you ever have to touch the Zeta platform.

Well there are 550+ hp LS3 vettes out there now totally stock otherwise. So I would think that you could safely go to 600 hp on the stock bottom end. After that I would start getting nervous.
However with that being said I am not sure the Clutch coud take that kind of abuse for long and would probably start to slip. The Auto might not be able to take that as well and I have blown my share of autos with far less power then that. The suspension should be fine and so should the brakes since you are getting brems but you might want to go with a more aggressive compound on the pad for better stopping. I plan on either getting a new SS in a year or two or a used C6 or Z06. I am still not certain if I would go FI or cam. I will leave it stock and really learn how to drive it first and then slowly decide how to mod |

well not sure the corvette is on the same platform as the new camaro, but yea i was thinking the clutch would be the first to go too, and when you start experiencing the more intense effect of wheel hop with that much power?

does any one know if the current LS3 vett engine mods will work on the LS3 Camano engine? I know it is the same engine but the lay out to the engine compartment is shaped different and does not have the same amount of available space.
