Seat belt with Recaros

Anybody else who has the Recaros having issues with the seat belt fitting well? I'm big at 6' 250lbs but I feel comfortable enough in the seats. The problem is the seat belt cuts into my neck and is actually starting to make a mark on the side of the seat at the top where it cuts across. Am I stupid and missing an obvious adjustment or is this just the way it is?

All seat belts cut into my neck even my trucks shoulder seat belt, I hate it. I am 6'1 235lbs.

On the other hand I have not had any issue with marks on my seat caused by the belt. I would take the car to the dealer and have them take a look.

At the risk of asking the obvious....is the seatbelt through the magnetic loop? Otherwise, I don't believe there is any adjustment to the belt (you can try to adjust the seat though and find a better position of the belt against your body). I'm of fairly average size, while I don't have that problem I'm not sure it helps you.

That sucks. Easy solution is to give me your Recaros and take my stock seats

They fit. The issue I have with the seat belt is the inability of using the loop strap attached to the seat. I always have to reach back to get the belt and buckle it. I am afraid that if I loop the belt thru the seat strap, that eventually the threading that holds the strap will start to fray and loosen.

Its a minor nuisance that I live with.

I do have the belt going through the loop. If I don't, it rides up even higher and rubs against my neck even worse.

I've noticed the thread in my loop already starting to fray. Not too happy about it.

Yeah it really sucks, now I have your problem with the belt riding high. Would warranty cover this or am I on my own?

No that's definitely a warranty claim. That is a workmanship issue with the strap working itself loose.

autozone sells a seatbelt pad that I happen to like a lot. It comes in a few colors like black, and it is a little thicker then the strap and it simply wraps around the strap and adjusts to you, and stops the the strap from cutting into your neck.

So I took my car to the dealership the other day and they are going to get it fixed under warranty. Getting it done at a custom auto embroidery shop in town later in August.
