What advantage does the insulator provide?

I think it is a intake manifold insulator, not a cold air insulator as stated in the title. It might be confusing.

Amenti, here ya go http://www.maceengineering.com.au/ep...Products/MI603

According to their dyno graph, the 12mm insulator gave almost 23lb of foot torque down low. If this is true then that is just amazing! When I talk to mace they told me that they gotten even more gain by going up to 25mm on their commodore.

To be honest, I be happy if I can even get half of what they gotten lol. 18mm will be raising our intake manifold by almost 3/4 of an inch. I haven't gotten to my manifold yet so I don't know what might get in the way of 12mm or 18mm, but other then having to adjust the intake I think we might be good.

That chart look too good to be true for a simple manifold spacers right? Well, mace sent me the 12mm to test fit for our camaro so I guess it's time to go into my guinea pig mode once again lol.

Haha thats true. sounds way to good to get 25 tq for a spacer, but we will see. what will that 25mm get realistically? Oh and would everything line up fine with the 25mm bringing over 1 inch higher?

If you do get one you won't be able to use your Vararam. I have the same problem.
