Weather cooperated, good turn-out of participants, and lots of helpful talk while waiting in the lanes.
So, my first 1/4 mile run ever was the quickest at 13.532 at 102.48. I zoned out at the tree!! Too much thinking as I watched the lights, watched the guy next to me leave the line, realized I had a green light, and left the line. 1.325 reaction time, 2.268 60'.
Ran 3 more times and totally smoked the tires leaving the line each time, 14.249 at 108.51 and 14.217 108.91. 60's were 2.850 and 2.848.
Last run of the night had a Mustang beside me, he hooked up and left me at the line as I spun in place. Eased off the gas to gain traction and I was rolling! Quick shift into second and I was gaining ground on him. Unfortunately I was so excited that I was closing in on him I hit the rev limiter at the top of second...

I was hoping to make it last night but I didn't want to look like the one a-hole friend who didn't show up to the party cause of racing. I'll hope to be there next time.

So the embarrassing 60' that I didn't post above was the 3.286 on the last run when I was lined up with the Mustang Can we say UP IN SMOKE? Felt like I had wooden wagon wheels for rear tires! BTW, that's with nannies on!
I'm actually considering taking the Jeep to the next T&T, 4WD Turbo Diesel w/ Automatic. Maybe that will compensate for my lack of launch skill!
Anyone heading there June 7th or 14th?
