Doesn't matter about the V6! There will be all kinds there! As long as you can mash the gas, drive straight, you can run!!! Plus your V6 will probably outrun some of the people that comes to these things! I have seen some doosies!!!

Just a thought.....Please make sure you post the track rules so people know what to expect. Do all drivers have to have a helmet? At what speed/time does the car require a roll bar and other safety features? Some people have some Camaros that are running pretty quick, and it would be a bummer for someone to travel a ways and be asked to leave after their first run because they don't meet all the safety requirements.

I know that according to NHRA, all cars faster than 13.99 are required to have a SNELL 2000 or newer helmet. That's pretty much every SS...

Having said all that.....I might be able to make this!!!

I'm going to try and make it out....wont know until closer to the date.

As for the rules: They classify it as a NHRA Street Drag event so everything that they require is what is required to race at this track. Hope this helps.

Basically bring a Helmet! You will be fine! If you go faster than 12.0 I dont know what to tell ya!!!!!

I've been out there several times to watch after Year One Bash. They require a safety inspection before you even run, so no one will be able to line up without the inspection. I have seen some pretty funny *#$) out there. Cargo vans, old run down passenger cars, but I'm sure some of them are sleepers..... I did see a Vette hit the wall once, and that kind of cemented my mind that I would never get on the drag strip unless I had a beater or someone else's car that didn't care. Plus, all that black tar that would flip all over the car from where everyone heats their tires up...not for my car, but love to watch!

i might try and make this.. im still working out a clutch sticking issue. we'll see if i get it resolved by then.

rules that will mostly be watched
under 14.0 - helmet
under 11.5 - cage
n20 or boost - fireproof jacket.

i was told there was a certain helmet type that you are supposed to get (ive been using my friends bike helmet and it is apparently wrong)

Shoot. With my total of 3 trips down any drag strip, I can't even beat many of the stock SS's... Les has got a lot more than I do, and one less stick shift to worry about!
