THIS^^^ I had the same concern when I first bought my car, I have been driving manuals for 22 years and never experienced this before the Camaro. It wants to get up and go, let it.

My LS3 will do that at low rpms in 2nd too. So did my Solstice GXP 5 speed. I've never driven a manual trans vehicle that I couldn't make do this if I wanted to.

Less than 1000 RPM (idling) when in gear qualifies as "lugging the engine". It's gonna chug.

Yeah, wasn't your break in period as long as it took you to get off the lot? LOL

You can easily get an LS3 going in first without giving it any gas. It won't be smooth especially at the start but should smooth out a bit if it keeps rolling. That's how I drive in bumper to bumper traffic.

But this is kind of expected. The stock clutch cakes 500rwhp like a champ, it's not a Honda. I have seen crazy things written on Camaro5. Such crazy posts that say any time the clutch pedal isn't either fully depressed or untouched, you're wearing your clutch. Yea, that's true, but it's DESIGNED to wear. You are supposed to put wear on your clutch! You're SUPPOSED TO ride the clutch a little at super slow speeds like that. You're not going to hurt it, there isn't enough RPM/power to do so, you're barely off idle. If you're cruising along in a parking lot at 5mph in first gear without riding the clutch, the car will buck. It is BETTER to RIDE THE CLUTCH a little at that speed. It will be smooth as butter. I do it all the time and the car will be fine. What's going to screw up your clutch is riding it on 4th gear on the highway, engaging the gas way too quickly during shifts, not rev matching properly during downshifts and high RPM clutch dumps. Let's not be extreme.
