I had a RPM Level 6 4l80e installed and the sprag in the trans was breaking. I am 1200rwhp so this seems to be more than the 4l80e can handle. RPM being the standup shop that they are let me swap the 4l80e for a even stronger TH400 built to handle anything. RPM is definitely the best shop out there as they have gone above and beyond expectations for customer service.

Are you planting the power and getting traction? Are you doing full-throttle powershifts?
I just blew up my stock 6060 last night, and am considering either the Level VI 6060 from RPM, or their 4L80E conversion. Here's the scenario for me... 515 hp, every single bushing and link/arm that BMR makes, Hotchkis rear cradle brace, G-Force 9" & axles, hydraulic line lock (specifically high flow for clutch applications) for launch, 2-step launch RPM controller, and disabled the clutch switch that closes the throttle blade for true, full-throttle powershifts. The launch with 18psi DR's is killer, and there's no slop or forgiveness in the drivetrain to absorb shock of lauches and shifts. This, and combined with the fact that I was just about to pull the factory motor and swap in a BUILT LMQ 416" motor with a supercharger .... all makes me lean towards a 4L80E - but I would prefer to keep her a manual. I just don't know if even a Level VI 6060 will hold up. Any thoughts/advice?? BLESSINGS! Sam
