Does this make any sense to you

Every time i ask if the dealers around here have an open allocation i get something along the line i 100% can tell you we will have it by December at the latest. One told me its not about the allocation if its a V6 the orders go through but if you want a V8 forget it they take a long time to accept those. Does ordering a V6 make any difference over a V8? Does any of this stuff make any sense to any of your guys? I was under the impression its all about the allocation doesnt matter what model you order made any difference. Thoughts opinions please.

Well GM restrained the production of V8 cars recently. So, in this regard, it would be easier/quicker to get a V6, depending on

a) Dealer allocation
b) Number of V6 / V8 in front of you @ 1100 at your dealer.

Agreed. The bottom line is that it will still be dependant upon your dealer's allocation. GM may be producing more V6's but if your dealer has no allocations, it wouldn't help you. Find a dealer with actual open allocations. I moved from 1100 to 2000 in about a week so that's one way you'd know for sure whether your dealer had any open allocations or not.
