If you look at the automotive world, there are very few V10 and V12 engines anymore for several reasons. One of them is size and weight. The second reason is that they don't really do anything special that well designed V8 can't do, and the V8 is probably slightly more efficient. With the rarity of such V10 engines, they are going to be VERY expensive to buy and parts will be a pain to find and expensive as well. Because theses engines are such a niche, the aftermarket for them is practically non existent, meaning that every part needed to rebuild the engine to handle high boost would have to be custom made, and the engine would most likely be very unreliable. I will honestly say that you are looking at $50k in just building the engine alone. It's just not practical.

Something like an LS1 V8 will be a much easier and cheaper swap, and the sky is the limit when it comes to how much reliable power you want out of an LS1. The aftermarket is huge meaning costs will be low and everything has been used to tested so reliability is known.
