I want to do whatever I can to tighten up my steering feedback. Suggestions?
I already did my suspension 3 times just to try out different products on my roads. I am very happy right now with the suspension I just need to have it aligned up better.
What I dont like is the SS steering when going fast is very twitchy and loose and I really hate that. I want a heavy more weighted feel because its so sensitive now its all over the road at very high speeds. I am going to put the larger 275/40 tires up front soon but there has to be something else I can do via the steering rack assembly. Any ideas? |

When you said did your suspension what do you mean? I did DSE sway bars and they really tightened up the car!

I did bars, springs bushings and shocks. I tried Coilovers etc already. Car is very tight in terms of body roll and its perfect. love the ride and side to side stiffness and look.
Steering is just not tight enough for me. On my Germany sports cars as you push hard through a turn the steering gets tighter keeping you in great control. On the SS one twitch and the car is in the next lane. It feels over assisted or the ratio is too quick. I am not planning to autocross this car I just want tighter steering. On some cars steering racks there is a nut that you turn which pushes a rod to adjust the feedback. I need to get under the car to see if this rack has that adjustment or not. I hope it does. I am open to replacing the steering rack itself I just dont know who to call to send mine for modification. |

more negitive camber, but that will give you faster tire wear.

I got bars stiffest in rear and I will try the stiffest setting up front tomorow if I get time.
I am running -1.3 camber front and -.9 rear I dont know what my toe or caster is and we are going to take some negative camer out this weekend its excessive as it sits now. I wonder how much the 275 tires will help up front when my new wheels arrive. Oh I was under the car, on the drivers side (top side of rack) it looks like there is a rack adjustment nut. I need to take a closer look and may give it a tiny turn of adjustment. |

march performance #P306
Regulator Kit Allows you to regulate pressure for power rack and pinion or gear box requirements. right off of march performance website. you can use this to adjust the assist pressure where you want it. I have used these and they work very well. |

Those wide tires up front will make a huge difference. I put wider tires on my mustang and it handled like a completely different car.

You need to add caster, and get a performance alignment.
You will likely need to have one of our bolt kits installed, and have the caster holes modified for use with our adjusters. Everything else is a bandaid, not a fix. PDUSA5420 Zeta Rear Camber & Toe Kit PDUSACAMFNT Camaro Front Alignment Kit PDUSACAMFULL Camaro Full Alignment Kit |
