FYI...

The $750 Destination charge has to be added to the MSRP.. The advertising adjustment someone mentioned earlier, which is about 1.5-1.9% of MSRP DOES in fact get added to the dealer cost, but it will only affect the dealer cost, NOT the MSRP.

There is also a chance that the prices will change from when you place your order until the vehicle is built... Until there is an invoice for your car, nothing is set in stone. The best thing to do is get a dealer (like myself!) to agree to sell it at MSRP, whatever it may be when it comes in.. Some people are a little weary to agree to this instead of a concrete dollar amount... But, i ask you this... If we agreed to a price, and then they came out with some option package discount later on and the vehicle was delivered for LESS than what you agreed to, would you let the dealer keep the difference?

I am full disclosure and honest with all of my customers, and i feel if you take the time to explain things to people you have better results. Many dealers will tell you what you want to hear, or quote you a lower price to get you to stop shopping... then, months later when the car comes in SURPRISE! most people have waited so long they buy it anyway and leave with a bad taste in their mouth... Those types of dealers don't care, they got the sale...

Anyway, i'm in Northern Cali, taking orders for MSRP...

Thanks, goodluck!!

Full MSRP. I've been thinking about a camaro a lot lately, and I've come to the conclusion that that is very optimistic. Looking at the economy, I fully expect that this first batch of camaro's will not be all sold as they come in. I would agree to $1000 under invoice, minus any incentives, with a fully refundable deposit in case things change or I can't get acceptable financing etc. Otherwise I think I'm just going to wait it out.

Now your using the brain. July, this will happen.

Just like the "limited" challangers, over 20% went undelivered.

At the same time, the color i want isn't one of the package/color/combo's chevy recommends the dealers order, so thats not so good. One of these days I'll go and re-email all the dealership around.

Other (non-chevy) dealers can't order and deliver new chevy's can they? If so I can probably get one for near dealer cost :-D

You have to be crazy to drive a Camaro when the weather is that cold.

LOL yea

But I wouldn't want to be in a Camaro in such conditions. Not to mention how the conditions would wreck the poor thing. :(

Soooo, MILITARY DISCOUNT????? is that usually the same as the GMS price i'm going crazy trying to find out!
I don't know if anyone has answered this yet, but:

With GM Employee pricing you are still able to get all of your discounts including military discount. Also good to remember is that the military discounts change from time to time. When I bought my last Chevy it was at $1000 and now it is at $500. I know this because I have done it.

As for how you get the employee pricing I have always just used my father in-laws code. He has been working there for 30 years and is up there, but that is all I have ever had to do.

Most GM dealers know ahead of time or can find out when new rebates and discount changes are coming. I have had them tell me about an upcoming rebate, hold the car I wanted until that rebate came into effect( I have even had one give me the discount two weeks early).

Hope this answered some questions. The main thing is shop around and pick a good dealer. Also doing your own research on what the military discount is at and what rebates are out because I have had dealers tell me: "we don't have a military discount", "its not at 1000 right now", or "we don't currently offer that rebate". I usually send them back into their offices to prove them wrong and then buy my car from somewhere else.
