Web site that tracks market prices
I have read a lot on here lately about " market pricing" and I dont agree with it but I use a site that records sales data and breaks it out and shows what market prices are for a particular car. You can pull it nationally, regionally or local if enough sales.
I speced a 2SS IOM 6 speed black stripes and RS package on it. It came back with 67 sales records and an average price around 800 over MSRP. I dont know how accurate it is for the Camaro but thought I would throw it out there for people to play with. http://truecar.com/release/trims/Tri..._2010_all.html |

that's a handy little tool there, i spec'd a 1SS, RS, BA sound, Auto tranny, and it averaged out 800 over sticker as well. seems like more data needs to be fed into it to get a better representation?

I printed it out and when the dealer here went into the whole thing about 5k being " market " I handed him the print outs. Did it help...nope...but it was fun to see them squirm.

I am confused. Where does this website gather its data from?
FULL DISCLOSURE (The dealership I work at is only charging MSRP and honors any GM Military, college grad, credit union, or supplier pricing on the Camaro) |

Sure why not. If you have the money to pay for the transport I have the company lined up to do it. Or maybe you would just like me to break it in for you and drive it out there???

I use autotrader for that. It's 99% a "Buy it now" used site. Meaning they have to list the prices at market or they don't sell from web or printed ad's.
It's good to see lows and highs. The gougers are on there but they are more equalized because others list lower prices. |
