If you can afford it, why not. You only live once.
however, if it was me, I wouldn't want two versions of the same model of car. If you like the z28 better, than sell the zl1.

So...I floated the idea today of adding the Z/28....She laughed and said..."I would think something was wrong with you if you didn't want it."

Quickly followed by, "If you get that, then I want to trade my Tahoe on a new one.".

Good news, she did not say anything about getting rid of the ZL1...yet.
Bad news, the Z/28 just got a lot more expensive. Her Tahoe is paid off.

Could have gone worse I guess...

you're definitely gonna need both because she will kill you for the rough ride on the Z/28 as a daily driver . If she's in the passenger seat but definitely get the Z/28 .
