Track night
I just came from the track for the first time in my life and I have to say I am a little disappointed. I got beat up by almost everyone I raced. To be fair none of the participants were stock except maybe for a few 5.0 and I ran mine completely stock. I did not warm the tires and kept the stock pressure. That is probably why I could not get traction at the start. My tires kept on spinning.
I was also having issues going into third, it was giving me hard time and made me lose time on a few races. It was a 1/8 track and i managed a best time of 8.851 at 84.55 mph. My time is on the right. On the left it was a 2001 Mustang.

Yes, the 1LE does not do well on the track with the Goodyears, they have very stiff sidewalls. Only a few have run 12s on the Goodyears and these I am sure benefitted from good track prep. Your 60' is the problem.
Don't get discouraged, I could only get to 2.1 with a 13.2 ET and 8.693 1/8. I added a CAI and DRs and ran high 12s easy. I added LTs and ran 12.3 in the 1/4 and 8.010 in the 1/8. Stock 5.0s and older Mustangs are no longer a problem except for Boss 302s.

No sweat! You bought a track car, not a drag car. Find a road coarse.

Next time try lowering the tire pressure and DON'T use launch control! I saw a 1LE snap an axle at that track using launch control.
The right lane at that track is USELESS for anything but all wheel drive cars. I would have been there but the spider gears in my posi let go when I was there the last time they were open in 2013. If you can bring your 60' down to a 2.0 you'll probably be in the 8.3 range or so. If you get wheel hop...LIFT |

Dude. The 1LE isn't a drag car.

Nor is a Corvette or a Porsche or a M3. You can still have fun at a drag race track.
