my first gear is strong but second just doesn't seem to put out all that much power
I have a 2LT automatic V6, i have paddle shifters on it also. But it seems like second gear isn't putting out a lot of power. Any suggestions on how I might get this to change?

Are you saying that when shifting with the paddles it doesn't or all the time? At what RPM are you (or is it) shifting?

I'm using the paddle shifters, and I'm shifting at red line. It's still bone stock so I'm looking for some mods

Originally I thought that pulleys could help me out with this problem, but I'm not too sure.

Try shifting before the red line, it's all about when the engine is making the most torque/horse power.

You should look into a Cold Air Intake first, GM Performance Parts is sweet, that will give you about 10HP there. Of course next would a Cat Back Exhaust 5-10HP and a Underdrive Pulley 5ish HP, couldn't hurt. Again these are all "bolt-ons" that will make the car quicker for sure.
Now if you want to have the car Tuned which voids warranty... ARH has made a Long Tubes for the V6 The V6 performance section has threads to diffrent brands and info. Enjoy

Shoot I'm looking to do as much as I can WITHOUT can without voiding out the warranty. So looks like tuning would be out of the question. But is there a short RAM intake that is available? I've already had an extremely bad experience with a cold air intake(flooded an engine) I was young and dumb didn't want to spend the extra 10 dollars on a bypass valve. I was a dumas lol.
