I've debadged my SS. I will be removing the chevrolet emblems as well once I get around to it.
my reasoning: I had way too many kids wanting a piece on the freeway commute I take. too many revs at the lights. I don't care. I don't drive this car to prove a point or to be the baddest on the streets. I drive it for me. once I removed the badges, all of that stopped. It's like everyone sees an SS and is like "ooh I hear those are fast, let's see" now I'm just a camaro. am I an SS? a Zl1? perhaps a 4 cyl? if you know you know, if you don't, well then you don't. |

Somewhat generational. Everyone wanted an SS Chevelle, SS Camaro, or Z28 when I was growing up. It meant something special and still does. If you got, flaunt it! Nothing worse than someone trying to pass a Malibu or plain Camaro as something it was not. I guess you could say debadging could be similar to a 69 Camaro or Chevelle COPO (427 with no badging except the bowtie), a sleeper look before you stomp them. To each his own.

For the record I only debadged the Camaro emblems on the fenders and the the front SS. Still have the rear SS and both bowties. Personal preference, I’m a bit ocd so I like balance, flow, and clean lines! I’m still on the fence about the rear SS.

I can always tell what version of muscle car I'm looking at, badges or not, but then I've been paying attention to muscle cars for over 40 years now. Even if I took the SS badges of my car as soon as I cranked it up anyone listening would know that's not a six cylinder car. |

That's exactly how I went about debadging mine.

Installed the replacement LED side marker lights from JWM I received yesterday. They are a lot darker than the first set I had. These do match the factory dark taillights closer, but I am not sure yet how well they will stand alone on the sides of the car.

More Carbon Fiber goodness
I’ve had it for a few weeks from Wildhammer Motorsports and finally Installed the Carbon Fiber steering wheel. I absolutely love it.
