15" conversion complete...have slight rubbing on wheels and tires
2011 Camaro SS, lowered 1.4" w/ carlyle racing 15" kit installed. The lower control arms have a section removed for the lowered car. Tires/wheels are 15" Forgestar D5 beadlocks with 275/60r15 MT Radial Pros. The car hasn't had the camber readjusted since install, and has a slightly positive camber stance.
On the driver's side and the passengers side, the inner wall of the tire is rubbing the lower portion of the LCA (see pics 1 and 2). The wheel itself is barely rubbing a portion of the LCA as well (picture 3). My question: Will a simple camber alignment erase the issues, or is a wheel spacer needed for this setup? If the latter, what thickness wheel spacer? Thanks! |

the carlyle's kit is to be used with a coil over setup for adjustments. 15's are a tight fit. seems all 15" kits rub with just lowering springs.

Yea I'm figuring that out. I wish there was more research on the subject. I have some H&R 20mm wheel spacers on the way to help push the wheel out

You need to go back to stock height. And get a really good alignment

Wheel spacers fixed it.

so you kept it lowered and used a spacer to make it fit?
Have you launched this setup on prep? |
