First Mod Options
I have a 2SS/RS m6 and around $800.00 to spend on my first mod. I am undecided on what to do as eventually I will do them both. Should spend the money on a CAI/Hurst Shifter/Cosmetics or spend it all on a noweeds system(really like the sound)?

Upgrading to a Hurst shifter is a great mod for increasing your fun factor. So is switching to a set of 4.10 rear end gears.

I am looking at spending the same money on a CAI combined with the Vector or Jannetty tune.
Haven't decided which CAI yet either. Airaid, Roto, and ADM are my top 3. |

IMO the first 2 things to fix are the stance (too large a wheel gap) and the ugly stock muffler cans hanging down below the rear diffuser.

If you are a L99 and dont care about warranty then my vote would be CAI and custom dyno tune. If its a ls3 then my vote would be cai and lowering springs. If you get it tuned just make sure to do it from a great tuner.

unfourtunately you cant do Quality long tubes for under $800 either or I would have put that down. The Solo high flow cats and cai would be my recommendation since I now know its a ls3.

You can get the gears and install kit for under $800, but installation will put you over. Its worth the stretch though, 4.10s rock!

Upgrade your sway bars....
Not glamorous, wont make more noise - but makes a huge difference to the car's handling If you drive a manual - change your shifter after that From then on its really up to you on how intact you want your warranty to be - but clearly the best bang for buck seems to be headers/axle back/ CAI for relatively cheap HP
