My '71 has a new heart, almost

picked it up today, $550. has a hole you can look all the way through in the block which is okay because it comes with another block with good rotating assembly to put everything on. The complete motor is a '98 and the short block is a '99. It came with a harness but no computer (so if anyone out there has a spare...). I get the feeling it will definitely speed up progress and may even have it drivable by the end of the year, but we'll see.

Hell yes man! You should ditch that LS1 intake and try to find a deal on an LS6. Got any plans to cam it or port the heads while it's apart?

If I can find an amazing deal on a LS6 intake then sure, when money allows I'll cam it and if I feel brave enough port the heads.

I'll start as soon anything is done with it.

I've been working on getting the body ready for primer and underside ready for paint, as soon as those are done the subframe will go back on and I'll probably start working on making motor mounts, hopefully in the next week or two.
