I just picked it up this afternoon. I almost ended up having to leave it at the dealer. I think I found out why it took so long to ship from the plant after being built. The front fender had some kind of paint damage at the factory. It was then repainted at the factory very poorly and has spots and scratches in the drivers side front fender. It is rough when you run your hands over it. There was also overspray on the bottom of the windshield. There was even still tape on the inside of the fender from the repaint. I now have to take it back 4 hours away to the dealer in a couple of weeks for a respray again and leave it there for a week, then go back to pick it up again. The carbon fiber insert also had a haze over it so they are looking at possibly swapping it out too. It was kind of a bittersweet day and kind of ruined it for me. I am happy with how the car drives and it feels well built but when spending this kind of money for a car it is a little disappointing when this kind of sloppy product is sent out. I can't imagine a vette being sent out like that. I guess that's what you end up with when your car is built on a Monday. The dealer has been good about the issues though and actually pointed them out to me when I arrived to pick up the car.

Good for you and spring spacers?
Sorry to hear about the fenders and paint issues. In the end, it will all be perfect. You waited this long, you will be a winner in the end...
Is it me, or in some of those pics, the front is a little high like the spring spacers were left in? |

No they had the spacers out and in the glovebox. I would say after driving the car last night the transmission is what impressed me the most. It is very smooth and shifts nicely.

They'll take care of all but you have every right to be peeved. I would be disappointed too. I am glad you finally got your car and hopefully they "make it right" for the inconvenience.
Congrats !! |

Wow, that's awful, Brazen. I would've run out of patience and told them no thanks.
Hope you get this resolved quickly and enjoy the car. |

Some how I can't quite buy the fact that it got out of the factory that way. Anyhow, I'm glad the dealer has been good about it with you. The VERY best to you, hope it all works out for ya. Let us know how you make out
