Same here. You just can't beat the performance and versatility of the GTR, but going "down" to a ZL1 is an amazing thing to do lol

I think anyone who has not driven a GTR for a while will not understand how bad the ride quality is lol. The car is fast can turn on a dime but the quality of the Trans the 10k plus in regular maintaining for track use is a PITA !

I like it but I'm just board to death of it

The ZL1 is a very welcome change... Ordering my Winter Tires now ...

You sound like the viper owners when they first came out. Plenty of power and performance with the ride quality garbage. Most people I take in my car who are import fans are amazed with the ride quality and the ability to go from Hell on wheels to a calm smooth quality ride within seconds.

nice choice on cars both are really sweet rides, but its alot cheaper to make camaro go fast. if you need any advice on mods please give us a call at florida speed and power (941-756-race) we can discuss what your expectations are for the car and what type of driving you plan on doing. thanks again and congrats on the car

i would have never traded it in.. there are thousands of Camaros on the road.. whether a v6 or a ZL1, they all look the same to the average person, the GTR though, is something special.. not to mention the resale value on the ZL1 is going to be terrible after three years, unlike the GTR

Russo as far as something losing value I never think of ANY car as an investment lol. And by me there are about 12 GTR's in area...I see ZERO ZL1 by me and I do look..

Hell ask Matt about me switching cars lol

Cars to me are something to be played with enjoyed and then move on

in my area, there are more Camaros than anything else on the road.. even more than Civics, Altimas, Mustangs, etc.. it's just a totally common car that doesn't really appeal to me.. sure the performance is there for the price you pay, but im someone who doesn't mind paying a little more for exclusivity.. a used GTR is totally obtainable for me, but so is a used 4 door m3 sedan, or a new CLA 45..

That's amazing way of thinking. If the car gives a feeling of exhiliration and enjoyment doesn't matter that you lose 50% of it's value in 2-3 years.
That's the price you pay for that feeling.

That comes with just about anything you buy imo, unless your loaded with cash then you cant really get something "nobody" has, you can buy the same model engine everything then mod to your liking and taste then it may be trully one of a kind.

Sorry i speak for myself about money, it doesnt just grow on trees around here, im slowly getting my car to how i want it and like it but i dont think it will ever be finished. And like ASAB said cars are toys meant to be played with and when you get bored move to the next. If you have that type of money

Asab changes cars more than I change my underwear...

Good luck with the ZL bud. You can always send it down here and come pick it up in 80* weather

Can't blame you. GTR's aren't very exciting, nearly bought one two years back.

Is it just me or is the guy knocking on the ZL have a F150 as his vehicle? Like those are hard to see. When a new member joins a new forum and is excited about getting his new ZL it's pretty low class to be cutting his new ride down. Maybe you have driven a zillion performance cars and are the Stig himself but maybe you can just being happy for a guy excited to get his new wheels. JMHO...
