Why?

Dodge plans a 3 year run of the Hellcat, across both the Challenger and Charger.

Dealer ADM's will be there for those who HAVE to have the first ones, but in the second model year, below MSRP should be the norm.

In reality there are probably already more sold orders for Hellcat than the 2013 VIPER has sold to date...

Damn, this is incredible. Dodge is making a serious play to be... relevant. The 392s were awesome, but with a little work the Camaros would own them and the Mustangs would destroy them.

This is a game changer, too bad it's too little too late.

That's a bargin for what you're getting. Stock low 11's, and with drag radials they said 10.8's. And its in the same price range as its competitors. Way to go Dodge. Now step up GM.

The dealer markup arguments are already annoying.

I got one of THE FIRST 2013 GT500s for msrp in May of 2012. People bought ZL1s and Z/28s for MSRP...sticking 45 more HP in a car doesn't help it cure any diseases...

I'd bet money a handful of people climb into them under MSRP.

You can certainly dream. Today it's still tough to get a 392 challenger under sticker, regardless of internet claims. Imagine the more limited and in demand Hellcat. Right though, I forgot those deals where they sell at sticker and then offer you chump change for your zl1

I own 6 Chevrolets right now, but if they made a convertible...I'm in. Seriously, I think Chevy has to do something about the horsepower gap. Wouldn't be that tough, just slide the LS9 into the Camaro.

The 2013 GT500 base MSRP was $54,200 and is $55,110 for 2014 which less then the more expensive Hellcat's $59,500 base msrp.

A few things. THe Challenger R/T has been thousands less than the GT/SS for years and that stays true for 15. All the 392 cars and the Hellcat are basically loaded for the prices quoted. in fact, the Scat pack is said have $7900 more in value compared to the outgoing core. the autos no longer have a GG tax with the 392. As for it being so easy to beat one with a few mods on a GT or SS, I would think again. people on this site have gotten as quick as 12.2 with the old 5 sped auto and people are in the 11s with BPU (CAI, tune, exhaust. i wouldn't at all be surprised to see 392s with the 8 speed auto hitting 11.9-12.0 bone stock. Also, you would need a 2SS to match the Scat Packs feature content (or truthfully to just come close) and those are 38150 with dest. Dodge has done a hell of a job with these cars! bring on the new Mustang and the 6th gen Camaro and let's keep these wars going strong!

Its a horrible sickness isn't it. Nahhhhh, no hellcat for me. In a year or so It will be an auto Scat Pack or maybe an SRT Charger if SRT can actually make that ugly thing called a 2015 Charger look good.

I was going to get a Hellcat but I really don't need to do that. Hell, I might change my mind in a year by then.

No, the Scat pack is cloth seats for the sub 39k starting price. Still a steal though. The SS is about 2k cheaper with similar options in manual trim. I will admit that a full second difference in 1/4 is huge for $2k. Comparing the L99 with the Scat Pack 392 auto gets really embarrassing for GM. Since the 8 speed auto misses the GG tax it comes in under 39k. A L99 1SS with similar options is
is 37k and doesn't have a upgraded Dual mode exhaust like the Challenger so in reality a Scat pack auto has a MSRP of only about 1k over a L99. I tell you one thing if someone buys a 2015 L99 SS over a auto Mustang GT or auto scat pack Challenger then that person is either a die hard brand loyal fan, got a huge massive chunk off the MSRP, is in love with the Camaro looks or is just plain flat out stupid.

It used to be that you couldn't fairly compare the 392 with the Mustang GT or SS because of the price difference. That is now over and the cars can be fairly compared. kudos to Dodge as they might actually be on top for at least 1 year of the muscle car wars.
