Does anybody know if this will fit with a Maggie installed, and will there be any advantage compared to the SLP blackwing air intake?

Lol the z28 intake is made by k&n. Pretty much what they did was put lipstick on a pig.

I keep seeing this but yet any one to provide a source to this speculation. Also I would not expect anyone from the aftermarket industry to give you numbers on the Z/28 Airbox From what I have seen on paper and physical Dyno numbers I'm gonna say the Z/28 Airbox will be what I'll purchase. I have been doing research now for little over two years and have talked with owners of every brand of CAI's and they point to two and the Z/28 OEM is one of them.

Read post 27. You havnt really looked into this before you posted have you? We have a member showing dyno numbers at 16hp gains.....that k@n seems to be working just fine...the filter anyway. What colour of lipstick do you prefer ?

Just installed z28 cold air intake
Looks good, sounds good, feels nice. Only question I have is what is the the rubber molding with sticky tape for? Also had to cut the pvc line alittle shorter, was huge. Wanted it to look cleaner and tucked it under the engine cover.

It goes under the air box, right at the sides of the mounting stud. It's in the instructions. I guess it keeps hot air from surrounding the air box.

Rather stick with my airaid, more gains and looks better with the nice big filter

16hp 13tq > 16hp 10tq

I like cherry red if you have

Is that some chart you made yourself? Or is it cut and paste from airraid? LOL. Run your car on the Dyno then hate!

Straight from airaid website champ http://www.airaid.com/ProductDetail....ductID=250-243

Click on the link then on the dyno sheet button

Also ask any vendor what they think of airaid and you'll get your answer

to the OP, I have the Z/28 on my L99, works perfect without a tune but I have a Tune anyway, makes the car sound more beastly, definitely pulls air a little stronger. makes the car more fun to drive

The intake is an absolute must first mod. But that's how it starts, after that you just want more and more lol I'm on my way to getting a cam next, I just can't stop
