I wasn't showing off but it was damn stupid:

Years ago I was driving a 78 Camaro, trying to keep up with a group of friends through a left turn arrow and there was a fire engine company right past the corner which just happened to have soaked the road from washing their trucks...

There's still a difference of opinion if it was a 360/720/1080. Everyone else only caught it in their rearview mirrors and I think I died.

The only close call I've had when showing off was taking one of my friends down this dirt road that me and a few other friends used to always drive down and see how fast we can go, drifting around the corners and what not.

Well since this particular friend hadn't done this with us before I took the corners a lil bit faster than I was used to and on one almost ended up in a ditch. Still not sure how I managed to keep it out, all I know is one second I was facing almost completely backwards into a huge dust cloud and the next I had pulled her back around facing forwards. Apparently my friend thought I'd done it all completely on purpose, so it worked to my advantage that time. Never told him otherwise.

That being said, I've had other incidents where I wasn't trying to show off, but that was my only show off fail. Helps that I haven't really had a powerful show off kinda car like my Camaro til now and I don't do the same kinda show off stuff with her.
