Seriously!?
Just curious, am I the only one that can't afford to mod my car like everyone else!? I mean I've even seen people my age (18) and younger, modding their cars to the extreme! Anyone else out there feel left out a bit?

I was 38 before I could buy and mod my dream car. which is this one.
I've had a family and had to be responsible and practical. It is what it is. Keep at it and you'll get your chance. But there are rich kids out there. |

I have had mine for 2 1/2 years and all I've modded is two things inside and 3 on the outside. Age wise I am pushing 40, but pretty tight on mod money right now because my house and new job training come before shit for the car.

Nope, I am in the same boat as you... and 20 years older! However, like others, I have a mortgage and a family to support and a wonderful 15 month old son!
When I get time, I do small mods here and there... I didn't have a problem buying a $300 K&N intake for my SS - however, right now, even tho my wife gave me $100 on our anniversary for the SLP side gill decals, I am having a hard time justifying $60 for a set of stickers! Might have to save that $100 and put it towards a Heritage grill later down the line!

Some mods are cheaper than others; but, some of the most effective power mods for the V6 are also the cheapest. Do some research in the V6 bolt-ons forum and you'll see some good stuff. It won't be flashy; but, you'll feel the difference.
If you're talking about crazy appearance mods....I've never cared for them anyway!

Yeah right! I had some leftover cash from selling my truck so I bought wheels, CAI, exhaust etc etc and a few other things while I can afford it. My ass is broke now.

I went with a cheaper set of rims that I found at surprisingly a pepboys lmao. They looked how I wanted and were better then the steelies. Wouldn't go back on them but I would like to upgrade one day. I couldn't justify spending 1k on rims or more, just way to expensive!

Actually now that I think about it, even though mine is heavily moded performance and style wise I think the same about some others. Twin Turbo 427 with all forged everything. There will always be someone with more money to spend.

Honestly PQ I thought you were like 35 now LOL. You guys are making me feel bad, I mod my car every week and sometimes I buy 2 or even 3 items like a rich lady in a fashion store that just have to have everything.

Don't worry about the mods. You are 18 years old with a 2012 Camaro. 99.9% of kids your age are not fortunate enough to be in a new Camaro.
