if GM files, which it appears is gonna happen, please clear the air (good or bad).

1- will Camaro production stop until the Bankruptcy is final?

2- if so, what event code would be built prior. (ie - if i'm at 3000 right now, could i stay there? or would anything over 1100 get produced first?)

3- also if so, how long will would production stop for (estimated)?

thanks for all the info you have given us spoiled brats! it's nice to see things progressing faster now...........it would just stink if the line did stop, just after things get moving faster.

hope things get less stressful for ya. oh, i have a GREAT commercial idea for the Camaro also........

GM would not be adding Saturdays and a second shift if it mattered. I already asked this question. There is a one week shut down, that's all - the cars will keep coming.

2nd shift???????? I knew about Saturdays but didn't know about a 2nd shift.

ya know, i searched thru this thread and only found a few posts about it. some say yes and some say no. and naturally, everyone has an "inside source" that's in he know!

i just thought it would be nice to end the speculation, and i for one would want to hear it from someone i absolutely trust is in the know.............

Im guessing that the 4 that said yes is also the ones that are marking them up over sticker

As long as the HUNDRED's of vendors/suppliers are getting paid there will be parts to assemble the Camaro. But if these folks don't get paid the pipeline of parts will stop. GM can have the line open 24/7 but w/o all the necessary parts how could they continue to build cars??

while i understand what ur saying, i wonder if it's possible that $$$$$$ coming and going might complicate the process........therefor having to shut down.

I'm planning on paying cash but I don't think it really matters because I think when GM sells to the dealers banks will also be paying the bill up front.

I understand the one week shut down has been canceled.

I seriously doubt any firm shutdown days have been scheduled yet and if they are it would be a moving target.

this is why i want confirmation............theres another post on this site claiming Oshawa will shut down for inventory...........THIS IS MY POINT!
