Do the ZL1 side skirts stop your rear 1/4 gills from getting beat with rocks?

This is a well know problem for us owners without ground effects or splash guards. The front tires like to toss stuff right at the rear 1/4 bulge. Does this happen with the ZL1? are yuu getting rock chips around the gills? I'm thinking of putting on ZL1 side skirts if they will stop this.

I made my own splash guards that hang down about 1" below the ground effects and are 18" high. These seem to help alot. I'm going to do the 3M cover in the spring.
