This is a scam
Tell the guy once you have the funds (cash in hand) you will send the car. Also tell him that you have other offers and say people are willing to pay the $950 up front fee in cash. Also throw in that the price has gone up by about 5K because its a special ed. I play with these guys all the time. The only problem with these FUKR's is some people get caught in the scam.

It's scams like this that made me insist on accepting CASH only for my Chevelle and paying cash for the new one! Both buyer and seller thought I was a little paranoid, but did the deals as I requested.

I have done that too in the past. No funny business, and the deals are usually more negotiable between the two parties. I'm sure you know what I'm referring to?

A similar one happen to me when I was selling my 2010 SS. The buyer was "supposedly" in the military and it also was to be purchased for his dad. I kept asking questions and he eventually quit answering. I was asking more personal questions. Definitely a scam. I then put the car on a website called Onestop Motors, total scam also. They didn't post my add where they said and I had documented all conversation so when I contested the 400 dollars on my credit card it was not an issue. I finally sold it on Craigslist to a couple from Washington state. We thought each other were scamming the other but everything worked out perfectly. They flew down here to Texas and drove the car back.

TOTAL SCAM! I've been posting stuff I'm getting rid of on Craigslist, and anything expensive I immediately get the PayPal scam. I called PayPal and they told me its a complete scam. They told me they email you with identical PayPal paperwork, but all a scam, no monies, no account, TOTAL SCAM. NOW I say CASH ONLY.
