Ok some info on how i did it.
First thank you to "rharon" for finding that you can order the lights from your door panel it was the key for me.

Next thank you to "BLUEMARO" For finding the link to this story http://news.thomasnet.com/companystory/823576 that got me to find the light pipe that GM Puts in the door panel That is what i did.

Next thank you to "Teccboxx" for 2 things 1 starting this thread and saying that it had to be less then 3 mm And for more info and postings.

And now that i have it all put together this is how you do it, As we know there are two points that you connect the wire's for the light's, you pull the covers off and the speedometer off you will have to drill 1 hole per side at the top corner of the dash for the light poll to go in ( don't do it till i post some pics of this in a day or two I am waiting on a good digital camera form a friend ) and you have to shave the light poll in 1/2 throw the part that go's in behind the dash the two lights go in where the speedometer go's and then you put it back in and you are done.
thanks to all who have helped this is abl deal was the only thing about this car i was disappointed about and you have solved this for me it looks like so thanks to all who have made this work

Many thanks to the guys working on this- I've had the car a week, and that's the only question I get- "why doesn't it go across the dash". Soon it will be a moot point, as I am doing this!

If I knew how to do it, I would take pics- I have a great camera.

I suggest starting a new thread to clear out all the comments and to make it easier to find the instructions when it's up and running.

2SSRS you are the true pioneer here, you took a basic idea that I had and made it a actual reality. All props should go to you,

Superb Job

Just another reason why I love this forum so much!!1

Sounds to me like you need to invest in a waterproof digital camera! They are a little more expensive, but it'll cost less than having to buy multiple cameras within a year!

I LOVE GM vehicles, and particularly Chevy's, but would buy any GM vehicle if I had the $$...Hopefully, one day, soon enough, a 5th Gen CAMARO! Dave_O

You pull on the silver cover it snaps in, First lower and put out the steering wheel than pull on the top of the speedometer cover there are 4 tab's on the top after that you pull up on the cover, You will see that there is 4 hex screws holding the speedometer in, Remove the screws and take out the speedometer, You do not need to remove the wires to the speedometer, There is more than you need to put the speedometer on top of the dash.

Hope this works for you.

So the Cadillac part is in and it is the same part as i got from digi-key that is the light pipe, And the same as the door light i got from GM, Put not the price a lot more for the
Cadillac part.

So you know on the Cadillac i fund that what is done is that the trim cover is holding the light pipe in place, And that is what i think has been changed on the Camaro to delete the ABL on the dash. More as i get it.
