Question on Camaro underbody color
Hi, I am doing some research to build an accurate model of the 2011 Camaro Convertible Indy Pace Car. I have been unable to find any photos of the BOTTOM of any 5th gen Camaro, and need to know if the entire underside is painted the body color, or if it is chassis black like all of the suspension braces. Or do they use a black undercoating that covers it all like in the old days? Any information will be useful...
Thanks Dave |

Thanks for the revealing photos Rick! Looks like the underside is painted in gray primer, with black details and the red car shows a little bit of red overspray around the edges. all of the red parts on the underside are aftermarket braces, so in a stock chassis I would assume that would be black as well. That is very helpful.
Thanks Dave |

the top red car has been repainted. they look like the black car. Its not primer its a sealer. its a brownish gray color. the black car is a ZL1 its a belly pan. Not a oil pan. its a cover for wind resistance. like a skid plate.

I should have bought a ZL1
