Anyone getting Discounts -supplier/credit union on 2016 Camaro?

Just spoke to a Criswell Chevy in MD- a big dealer-

Said that they will not be any supplier or credit union discount
They will be NO discount
MSRP as there is only a 2% markup from invoice...

Anyone getting a discount? I actually spoke to 4 dealers...they all said No discount

Thanks for input

Will

GM hasn't said yet officially if Supplier will be active at the very beginning of production, might be a few months after the start.

That sounds like BS to me.

No discounts whatsoever basically??

Invoice only 2%??? Not according to the leaked documents we've seen. Invoice is 4%, and options are 9%.

Not true on that 2% markup. Makes the rest of their babble unbelievable.

When I placed my deposit and ordered my car my agreement was that I would buy the car for $1500 off MSRP or supplier discount whichever is cheaper for me. I've bought a few cars and had another dealer who wanted me to order from them so the dealer competition helped.

Most Dealers will tell you they are not accepting those discounts right now. I would just walk away from them. I would say a few months after production is when more dealers will begin to accept them. I am waiting until the spring so I know it will not be a problem then. I plan on using my supplier discount as well as my bonus $750 through my credit union.

Normally, Program Pricing is not available for the initial few months of the start of production of a new model or a new generation. There is one glaring exception, and the was for the Camaro Gen5. But there were several exceptions, one, GM released pricing before the order bank opened, two GM announced Program Pricing would be available from the beginning of retail sales, and three, Chevy promised all retail sold orders would be built before starting the second model year.

Now we all know for the Camaro Gen6 pricing was not released before the order bank opened. We do not know about Program Pricing but at this late date I am certain GM will follow their normal process. Finally, I have heard no promise that all retail sold orders for the initial model year will be built.

Bear in mind supplier pricing is more than dealer invoice so a dealer could easily make the sale at invoice or a little more if so inclined. If below MSRP is important and a dealer is not willing to go there, one should be prepared to walk away.

Very appropriate and if supplier pricing is not available you can join a participating credit union and use the $750 discount too.

To me the jury is out on combining supplier pricing the CU $750 because on the Corvette forum there are posts from buyers who did so and posts from buyers who could not do so.

Van Chevy in Scottsdale said they would honor Supplier pricing.

This is from a dealership that marked up the Gen5 by 10k back in 2009.

They will HONOR it IF there is supplier discount for Camaro (from GM).
What other dealers are saying: there is no supplier discount for about 6 months from the SOP.

Go to any CU near you and ask them if they qualify for GM CU pricing. I think most of CUs do.
