New look on the Camaro......again
Got over the purple and realized I had enough dip and pearls laying around to change the color again with it costing me nothing for a chance. Took my Saturday afternoon but was a quick easy dip for a change. Sprayed right over the purple I had. 2 coats of Covert black ...and 2 coats of Carbon Blue in Halo Real clear ...and 2 coats of Nordic pearl in DYC top coat.
Something hopefully crazy for the rims coming up next. Ive gotten my hands onto the exact reflective pearls they use on street signs. Gona give it a shot soon. Also working on fixing some things on the CF hood I had on before. That'll hopefully be back on soon

This time took me about 5 hours from pulling it in the garage and prepping it all the way to my last coat. Could've been quicker but my neighbors kept coming over talking to me while I was trying to get done
Thanks!

What type of gun do you use?

That's not bad at all. I could deal with 5hrs. How's the overspray on everything in the garage?

This time I used just the DYC sprayer. The purple was done with a gravity feed HVLP gun. Gravity feed with compressor will always be smoother. Takes a lot more coats to cover and build but can look as smooth as paint if done correctly. This turned out about as smooth as you can get wit the DYC sprayer. No texture but not the same as the previous job
5hrs is a rush job for me though. I normally take one day to prep and mask off and the next day to spray. Overspray with this stuff is crazy. I hang plastic around the garage and normally use a garage door screen to keep the bugs out. If I dip at night you can see the cloud of overspray leaving the garage.
