Anyone ever track down their Camaro after trading it in?

Traded my Camaro back in November. I had modded it past the point of daily drivability and practicality and it was just easier to part it out and trade rather than downgrade it. I'm positive the dealer didn't hold onto it and most likely sent it to auction. I left the cam and McLeod twin disc clutch in it as well as left the borla s-type exhaust on. Safe to say that someone got a decently modded used Camaro to start off with.

A buddy of mine sold his heavily modded 2010 SS for a 2015 1LE that was mildly modded and we haven't seen that car anywhere on any forums or social media sites either. Both cars had distinct features about them in which I could point them out of a line up with any other Camaro anywhere.

Maybe I'm the only one that thinks about this?

I have thought that about my previous Mustang. I tried looking up the VIN, came up empty handed.

Ive thought about this as well. I keep thinking about trying to find my 4th gen that I traded for my 5th gen. Part of me really wants it back to add to the fleet. Would look nice in between my 3rd and 5th gens...

Lol i had to. I really want a C7. Made more sense to trade for something practical and nice enough to daily and pay off quick to then get the Vette. Had a moment of adulting that went further than expected. Miss my camaro but dont at the same time. Was for a purpose at least.

Traded in my '88 IROC-Z back in 96 or so... have wanted to see if it's still around. Still have my last registration card from it. Was back before mobile phones so the only pics I had were instant photos which have long since been lost after moving a dozen times. :(

Carfax helps give you an idea what happened to a car. I was able to track my first 5th gen down exactly to a certain town, only because I had hoped to buy it back at the time but didn't find it until a year later seeing it along a highway at a house in that town. I basically had passed by it multiple times without knowing it was there because it is almost always tucked away in a garage. If I ever get an opportunity to buy it back I would, and add it next to my ABM.

One reason I didn't trade the Camaro 5 in for a Camaro 6 is that it would be sad to see my old car sitting in the dealer's used car lot.

I need to use it up so that when I trade it, it goes straight to wholesale auction. Right now it's still way to god for that.

Thanks, found out my 08 Stang is still in Phx, other side of town though, new owner over double my annual miles, 12,500 in 15 months.
